Came across this free 3-hour walking tour of Prague. The website is www.newpraguetours.com. Apparently you tip your guide at the end as you see fit. Any feedback? Thanks.

I%26#39;d also like to know more about this walking tour. I%26#39;ll be in Prague at the end of this month.
Can anyone help?
|||
well, it%26#39;s a good price...

Have been on Sandeman tours in Amsterdam and Jerusalem...The guides were terrific....tours usually longer than three hours as they answer all questions and really give detail on each stop...The only thing distasteful was the willingness of people to accept a %26quot;free%26#39; tour and then not tip or not generously tip these fantastic, hardworking kids!!! We will be going on The Prague Tour in October!!!

Thanks, Stan Rubin. I will certainly take their tour in Prague. I%26#39;m sure I will like it. Do you think a 10 Euro tip would be appropriate?
|||
I would judge it according to the number of people in the group - if there are 50 and everyone gave 10 Euros, that is 500 Euros for 3 hours%26#39; work.
Nice work if you can get it ... :)

It is a good idea to judge by the number of people in the group but I would not worry about overpaying. Tour guiding is a hard job and there is not much work in the Winter. If they do a good job, I would be as generous as I can afford to be.
|||
If they are advertising it as being free, then take it as that,tip nothing! Or price it according to local customs.
|||
Wanderlust....That is probably appropriate for two people.We always tip based upon our experience, which so far have been excellent and we have tipped accordingly, regardless of the number of people on the tour!!!!!
KVKFAN...It is my opinion that you are totally off base. Without guides, the free service would not be provided at all. It is a great exposure to all the wonderful cities. Shame on you!!!!!

I printed out their webpage and we will definitely look into this. Thanks.

I%26#39;m hoping to do this tour next week! : )
I%26#39;ve done the one in Berlin (fantastic!), Madrid and Paris. All were really good with enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. Ask lots of questions if you want to find out more about the city along the way, and they usually have great recommendations on restaurants and things to do whilst you%26#39;re there.
