Hello,
I am an owner/ manager of the Prague hotel U Zlate studny. We were on the 19 th position and we suddenly dropped to the 87 th position (without having any negative review).
I am already a little bit desperate. I have been trying to contact the Owners support and some other TA staff for more than one month, but still have no answer.
Can anybody explain to me what the problem could be?
I find it totally unfair that you can suddenly drop from the top hotels between the less succesfull ones without any reason and without any explanation from the Tripadvisor.
I hope somebody can help me here. Thank you!

there sems to be a lot of problems over rankings not just hotels but attractions as well.

I see you at 60th place.
There are two hotels U Zlate Studny and U Zlate Studne = translated as At the Golden Well or just Golden Well.
Wonder whether the similarity causes confusion with the ranking!

It is true tht we moved to the 60 th place but it was because we have had 3 new very nice reviews since the error occured. But if it had not been for the error, we would move up from th 19 th position, not from the 87 th.
The similarity of the hotels´names has probably nothing to do with that.
But thank you anyway!!

Had a similar problem with a hotel in Agadir last year. With the support of the TA staff it did get sorted, so bear with them. Remember that you do have aright to comment if you feel a review is unfair. I%26#39;m sure the TA guys will help you with this - I%26#39;m not sure of the mechanics buthave seen it done on a couple of destinations.

We just added another excellent evaluation of our stay at U Zlate Studny (Petra %26amp; co%26#39;s hotel) so we hope Trip Advisor get this right and it will help the hotel get back to the top of the rankings where it belongs. Kathleen Stock, USA

This is rather disturbng and raises credibility issues about the whole ranking system.Hopefully there is a simple explanation and a quick fix.
For a manger to be that attentive and concerned enough to address the issue is very encouraging. It tells me that customer satisfactioin is important to this hotel. That deserves an A PLUS in my book.
