Hi just wondering what favourites you have. I am a vodka and diet coke drinker and I usually drink the same wherever I go, boring I know, but I am gonna be a bit more adventurous while I am in Prague and was just wondering what cocktails are the nicest. I have tried a Bloody Mary and liked it but would like to try different ones.

Hi 2GG,
We paid a visit to U Prince Hotel in Old Sq, for our cocktails on the terrrace, the views from there are fantastic, they cost around £5... i had Black Russian, with slices of lime, Hubby had Brandy Sour, plus a beer !
Hope you enjoy your visit :-)

Sorry guys, the old 1990 absinthe has been prohibited by law in all of Europe.... the stuff u get these days are copies, even the oldest brand. No more magic nuts as base ingredients...
Visit the cowboy cocktail and steak house; they know how to make cocktails. And there is a big cocktail bar a couple of blocks off staromske namesti... Towards the Jewish quarter.

I%26#39;ve still got a bottle of absinth knocking about in a cupboard - it is filthy stuff so I doubt it will ever be finished... the kitchen sink is the most likely recipient :)
I don%26#39;t think it has been banned, and it does still contain wormwood, but Czech absinth isn%26#39;t the real thing anyway and the effects have been wildly exaggerated http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absinthe
They%26#39;re not exactly %26#39;cocktails%26#39;, but try Fernet with tonic (bavorák) or Becherovka with tonic (Beton).

May be, claiming all of europe a little over the top, but all i know is that a lot of countrys in europe did not allow it before.
A friend of my work whit innport at Arcus, the biggest booze importer in Norway, and they goot a notice that becouse of the strickt rules in Europe regarding Absinthe. They would have to make another type, same taste but different %26quot;effect%26quot;.
Even though this effect is more as u said exaggerated.
I think a lot of Americans have heard about it, and when in Europe.....
But as always gcek, we are off topic:o)
Long Island Iced tee
Harry Wallbanger
singapore gin sling
tequila sunrise
strawberry daquri
Cosmopolitan
Fidel Castro

Tequila Screwdriver
Blue Lagoon
White Russian
Caipirinha
Blueberry Mojito
Arcadia
That will keep your bartender going for a couple of hours :o) Enjoy your stay in Prague.
Yes and of course... The green devil.
