Advice needed on what area to stay and avoiding Stag Parties

Hi

Myself and my wife are having a weekend in Prague on 4th-6th December Flights are booked but we are looking for a hotel.

We want to stay in an area which is handy for Prague%26#39;s attractions but not made unbearable by stag and hen parties.

We don%26#39;t mind a short Tram/Metro trip.

I have seen some 4 and 5 star hotels at a very good price.

What do people reccomend?

Don%26#39;t worry about stag/hens parties, there are very few of them these days and you would not probably even notice. Most tourists stay in Prague 1, either the Old Town Square area or Mala strana.

Which hotels are you thinking of?

I agree with Kvkfan, plus december is well out of the stag party season which mainly cover the spring/summer months.

Prague is no longer the stag party capital of Europe and all but a few locals are thankful for that.

Mind you the locals in Riga in Latvia are not so happy about it.

Hi tomboo

I agree with the other posters - we sae hardly any stag parties when we were in Prague last March.

We stayed in the Hotel Esplanade just off the top of Wencenslas Square (spelling!) and a 2 minute walk to the nearest metro (for getting to the bus station and onwards to the airport). Cost was €110 per night for a double room and breakkie.

The location means you are 2 minute walk to the top of the Square with all its bars, restaurants and shops. 10 minute walk or so to the old town, but very quiet location. There were mainly couples and a few tourist groups in the hotel so you wont need to worry about stag / hen parties staying there.
