Hello! I am looking for accommodation for a group of 10 people that would like to spend New Yeaer%26#39;s holidays in Brno. Does anybody know for some kind of a house or apartment. Maybe an apartment hotel or a cheap hotel. Because all I have managed to find were just quite expensive hotels. Thankfull for all information,
Špela

See my PM - do you have a particular budget?

PM? No particular budget, but we are not really picky about the rooms and location. We will go with our own cars and want to see some interesting things and party a bit. We are all students, so nobody really has much money...

Hi spelica.
4 years ago a group of us went to Brno to do the IML 3 day walks and we sayed at the hotel Bozelechove.
It was very cheap and not too bad. It is a bit out from the City centre but is only a 200 mtr walk to the trams that go%26#39;s to the city centre.
Look the hotel up on TA. I have not looked at the reveiws. All I will say is, it%26#39;s a basic hotel nothing fancy but I think it will do you.

http://www.nadovcu.cz/hotel-bozetechova/ Hotel Božetěchova - indeed nothing fancy, but functional!
A similar one is this http://www.hotelbrno.cz/index_en.php (but more expensive - I personally wouldn%26#39;t pay the prices they ask for what it is, but they might have special offers for groups
also you could have a look in here - there are many options available www.limba.com/en/czech-republic/offer.htm…

Thank you all for information

One tip.
If you do book into the Bozetechova,
Take your own SOFT toilet paper. ;-)

A friend recommends Hotel Prometheus
Hudcova 367/78 612 00 Brno
Tel.: +420 541 632 111, Fax: +420 541 632 133, recepce@hotel-prometheus.cz
You may have to use google to translate, or just Email in English. There will always be somebody who can speak English. I don%26#39;t know the hotel, but it may be worthwhile to check it out. Good Luck.

Yes - I know that one - it is cheap (at the moment they have a special offer where if you stay for more than 2 nights you pay half the rack rate), but it wouldn%26#39;t be my first choice as it is quite far out in an industrial zone and is quite basic.
I once went to an interminably boring awards dinner there in there in about 1991 and everything was a different shade of brown, including the recipients%26#39; suits and ties ...
There is another one just down the road from there http://www.hotel-imos.cz/en/ - these places were never designed to be super luxury, just places for visiting workers and the suchlike. They charge shocking prices during trade fairs - but then again there isn%26#39;t a huge amount of accommodation in Brno, so they can charge what they like. However at New Year you can probably bargain with them.
There are a couple of interesting pubs in Medlánky which is far enough out from the centre to be treated almost as a separate entity, e.g. http://www.strongholdbrno.cz/ and next door U šílené veverky (The crazy squirrel) - not to everyone%26#39;s taste, but at new year it should be lively :)
