Hotel Pyramida, Praha 6

Hello,

In May 2010 I will be staying at the Hotel Pyramida in Praha 6 and I was looking for some suggestions and advice.

First off, please can someone tell me how far this is from the airport and what the approx price of a taxi would be?

Also, could someone please suggest and decent but reasonably priced restaurants in the are of the hotel.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

At least it is on the right side of town for the airport, but I haven%26#39;t got a clue what it would cost as I never touch the taxis - 400 Crowns?

Otherwise it is easy to get the bus 119 to the last stop, Dejvická, and then bus 217 to pod Královkou 5 stops to the hotel - you can%26#39;t miss it as it is a, some would say monstrous, white pyramid :) It is a quick walk to the castle, and as it is a little bit off the beaten tourist route there should be plenty of eating/drinking places around (the other way from the castle, in the residential area) - also Strahov Monastery is not bad.

Recently, September 2009,stayed at the near by Savoy Hotel and were charged 365K. from this hotel tothe airport. As for restaurants you will find a number on the near by Nevodra street.

Perhaps you mean Nerudova street? Well yes, unless you are on a tight budget, take a taxi.

we stayed there a few years ago, found the location very poor and i was really peeved that they charged to use the swimming pool.the first time in 20 years of travelling that ive been charged to use a hotel pool..

taxi will be about 300~350 CZK

Stayed there on my first trip to Prague, its a very easy tram ride (22) short walk to the Castle area. Certainly wouldn%26#39;t say it was poorly located just not in the centre of everything.

Thank you all for your information. Roll on next May.
