We will be leaving Prague on a 09:30 flight on Wednesday, 07 October to fly home. Allowing that we should arrive for check-in at the airport, no later than 07:30, what public transportation (tram#, bus# and/or Metro, should we take to go from Hotel Rott (Old Town) and how long will it take, that is; what time should we leave the hotel in order to get us to the airport by 0700? BTW, we leave for Prague in 2-days, so we would like to know before we leave home. Thanks for your excellent advise over the past months, as we planned this trip I know it is going to be wonderful.

a quick dash from your hotel to metro at Staromestska (5 minutes walk and you can check the exact location when in Prague), direction Dejvicka (last stop), then bus 119 or 254. The whole journey should not take more than 45 minutes at that time of the day. Both buses and metro are very frequent. 26Kc ticket.

We stayed in Prague and flew back last weekend. Left our apartment in Old Town by taxi at 5:00am for a 7:00am flight. Took 1/2 hour to the airport - 550 crowns on the meter (tipped 50). Was at our gate before 6:00am. If you use a taxi, only use official taxis that have been summoned by telephone. Pay no more than 600 crowns (about $32 US) to get to the airport from Old Town.
