I have been researching and found K%26amp;amp;K Fenix (4 star) hotel for $515 USD on Orbitz and $503 USD on Travelocity. Me and my other 2 girlfriends wanted to stay a little closer to the old town. Would this place be okay? Everything I found for our budget was a 2 star hotel. I thought for a 4 star and reading the reviews it would work. Any opionion or suggestions? Would we be away from everything or are there bars and restaurants your recommend in the area?

I went ahead and booked our room at K %26amp; K Hotel Fenix for New Years. Any good place to visit on food and bars with the locals. We plan to book a private tour with Private Prague- Guide with Jay Pesta. Has any one heard of him?

Jaroslav Pesta is usually recommended by one time posters. The extract below is a recommendation by one of Prague guides who posts on TA. I think that he is very reliable.
%26quot;Very reliable information about private guides is in Rick Steves Prague and Czech Republic Guide with their e-mails and phone numbers. I can also recommend three groups of guides - look on Prague Personal Guides (Sarka Pelantova) or Prague Private Guides (Blanka Lukes) or Prague Walker (Katka Svobodová) Usual cost of good private guide is 25-30 USD for one hour of the tour.%26quot;

Or you could try Martin who posts on here under the name of Belohradsky but of course he does not self advertise so I will give his details
His e-mail is martinb@uochb.cas.cz and cell phone number (420) 723 414 565.

Can someone tell me what’s wrong whit the post that they removed from this string. I can’t se that it was anything inappropriate whit it.
Just a list of websites that provide hotel booking.

Its ok for us to disclose his name KVK as he has been recommended on here by genuine posters but he would not be allowed to self advertise without a disclaimer even though he does his tours on a part time basis and is not realy a business,he is also a great photographer with some lovely photos of Prague on his profile.

Thank you for the information! Any restaurants and bars that you recommend? I read that Black Ox is a must, would that be near the K%26amp;K Hotel Fenix or is that out of the way? I would like to get you opionion on your favorite places!

%26quot;Probably the most amazing, traditional pub we visited was U Cerneho Vola (the Black Ox) near Prague castle. Serving beer since the 1500%26#39;s and located near the Strahov Monastery, it doesn%26#39;t get much more traditional than this. Make sure to sit down in the back room (front is locals only) and enjoy a dark Kozel and some sausage. What an awesome experience.%26quot;
borrowed this from a review - but it is not near your hotel, the address is Loretanske 1, Hradcany, very near the castle, tram 22 would get you there from Narodni trida which is close to the hotel.
