Can anybody suggest if one week is enough to visit Bratislava, Prague and Budapest and which place should I keeep as base?

Also what are the major, not to be missed tourist attractions at these places. we are not very adventurous kinds.

Funny you should ask, I am currently planning a similar trip and looking for advice, but was thinking that Vienna-Bratislava-Budapest would be more manageable in 7 or 8 nights...

I was last autumn in Prague for 11 days and that wasn%26#39;t enough. You need minimum 7 days only for Prague (better 9-10 days). And Budapest is a beautiful city too. About Bratislava I don%26#39;t know much. So I believe you will need minimum 15 days (better 20 days). In 7 days you must to visit those cities and travel from one city to other. Is to little. My point of view, bro. Have a nice trip.

Bratislava can be seen in a couple of hours, then you can move on and concentrate on the other places on your list.

The centre of Bratislava has been nicely repainted, and is pleasant in the summer, but the city is probably most famous for this www.slovakia.travel/entitaview.aspx… - the local authorities are trying to push it as a tourist destination, but it is an abomination, IMO. Quote: %26#39;Never-ending panel constructions can be a shocking reality but also a pointed finger of the present and future architecture%26#39; Hmmm...

In October you might find it a bit sparse.

1 week!!!! you may as well stay home %26amp; flip through a magazine as you wont get to taste what any of those amazing cities has to offer in such a short period. Sure you could walk down the main streets of Bratislava %26amp; Budapest, or visit Pragues Old town %26amp; walk across Charles Bridge all in 1 week, but really....whats the point of just mixing with just tourists %26amp; missing the finer points of each city.

My husband and i did a similar trip in May of this year. I would recommend if you need to do Bratislava at all, to only spend one night there, particularly if you have kids with you as there is very little to do. When we were there the castle couldn%26#39;t even be seen as there was scaffolding up and green netting covering the walls! There is plenty to do and see in Budapest and Prague, and both are remarkable cities, so i%26#39;d recommend spending the majority of your trip equally between those two!
