money matters

Can somebody tell me how much a crown is worth please. I%26#39;m going to be a newbie to Prague and haven%26#39;t got a clue about their mnoney. It would be good to know for example how many crowns make a pound (GBP)

Thanks

Plenty of sites online that can tell you the accurate exchange rate

http://www.x-rates.com/d/CZK/table.html

http://www.oanda.com/convert/cheatsheet

Shows about 29 crowns to the GBP today

I%26#39;m working on 100czk = £3 we are also taking €%26#39;s and will use them if price of things look okay..

WOAS hope you enjoy your 1st visit, we are really looking forward to ours, on Monday..

Euros will be no good to you - it would be like trying to spend them in the UK, and where you can spend them it is a lot more expensive as the exchange rate will of course be loaded in their favour. Leave them at home and use them for a trip to France, Spain or somewhere else in the Eurozone.

Thanks for the replies. At least I have some idea now.

current street rate is 28 ~28.2 for GBP (change GBP-%26gt;CZK) so as someone wrote 100CZK counts as 3GBP is fine

GCEK thanks for the tip re €%26#39;s, will hang onto them for our Autumn visit to Spain, we have some czk to tide us over on our 1st day, then will use ATM%26#39;s..
