restaurant prices

Do most of the restaurants display a menu with prices outside or in the window? If I fancy the look of a place it would be nice to know what sort of prices they charge e.g. is it a top notch place with top notch prices or is it a more casual cheaper eatery. Also be good to have an idea of what%26#39;s on offer before we go inside.

Thanks.

To be honest, the places that I prefer don%26#39;t need to advertise their prices as I have a pretty good idea what it is going to cost anyway - I stay clear of %26#39;top-notch%26#39; places and prefer a good old-fashioned pub, where the price of the top item on the menu is about 180 Crowns.

If you go to residential areas where the locals go then you can find a good meal for c. 150 crowns and beer for about 20 Crowns, but you can pay 4-5 times that amount in the centre, and that price doesn%26#39;t necessarily reflect the standard.

This has been sort of covered recently here tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g274707-i96-k30718… and elsewhere.
