Sightseeing budget in Praque

Hi

I am planning to go to Czech in a week time and after doing my budget, I%26#39;ve decided to set aside 200 euros for sightseeing in Prague and Brno. What can I do and go with this 200 euros. is it sufficient to include local transport to and fro the different places. Take note I have set aside money for accommodation and food. the 200 euros are strictly for sightseeing fee.

As for hotels, i have decided to narrow down the selection to Hotel Tabor, Kafka, Hotel Alia and maybe Pension Dum U Tri Houslicek. Any opnions appreciated.

Cheers all

hi,

just to remind you that euros will be no good to you as you will need czech crowns.

but i think you will have enough on this budget as most things in prague are free and the cost of entrance into some of the attractions are not overly expensive at maybe anything from 5 to 10 euros.

you should avoid the guided tours as they are usually overpriced.

cant really tell on brno gcek is the expert there.

i would see that your biggest expense might be the transport between prague and brno.

just on what to see you should look back over the forums as most have been discussed at length before

Its a gorgeous city to walk around no one can charge you for that, you can also walk all round most of the castle for free for that matter, also the wallenstein gardens the Ledeburgh gardens and the gardens at Trojska are really worth a look round, as is going up the fenicular to Petrin tower

Theres a starter for you that will hardly scratch your budget.

Just for sightseeing? That should me more than enough - In Brno over the last 17 years or so I must have spent the equivalent of about 20 Euros on entry to places (Tugendhat Villa a couple of times, Špilberk Casemates, the Old Town Hall tower, the zoo, an exhibition here and there ... ) - the rest is free or costs a couple of pennies.

The same is largely true in Prague. Churches, etc., are free to get in, and of course the exteriors are free of charge!
