Just wanted to thank everyone who over the last month, has answered all my queries-questions on Prague, also thanks to members for making a report on their return, i feel much easier going to a new country armed with the %26#39;need to know%26#39; stuff..

Arrived to wet prague, but rain stopped within 5mins :-) Met by Scott from Prague-airport-shuttle, what a nice guy and so informative..Off to meet my locals..

Had lovely dinner in Cafe Royal.... chicken in white wine sauce, went down well with a nice bottle merlot, hubby had the same meal but with 2 large Pilsner.....just popping into hotel bar, buy glass red wine get one free,

Walked up to Charles Bridge earlier, not to packed, so was able to see all the great architecture around there, walked for about 2hrs, cannot believe some of the skill used in the stone carvings...

When I was there I actually saw these workers removing each tile by hands, what a job.

Did you get a chance to venture to the Old Town? If you do try the Prague Traditional ham cooked on a spit. I believe the price was 89 ckc per 100 g. A nice way to take care of lunch while enjoying the view of the Old Town.

Hi Rosebush, I would like to know where the Cafe Royal is located? How far from Old Town? We leave in 2 days - finally, it has been a long wait.

Cafe Royal is in Myslivkova, from river end walk for about 6-8mins, its on left hand side on a corner just past Hotel Manes,,i have a card but think it just gives the St name, also walking to this place you go past another restuarant about 3mins before, its called Buj..... something ? will post full name later..but we are now just looking at whats on menu%26#39;s, do we fancy it, if we do, just going in :-) beer seems to range from 24c-60c..not used the trams yet, just walking eveywhere..

Have fun..oh and take a guided tour..
