Hi all,
I am going to Prague in October for 6 days but I am unsure of what clothes to pack for the weather around that time!!
Sounds like a stupid question but with Ryanair%26#39;s hefty luggage charge I dont want to be packing for all eventualities!!
Thanks!!
Oh and I am a female!! No suggestions of thermal boxers or anything please lol.

Impossible to say what the weather will be like - might be hot, might be cold. Check the 10-day forecast before you go here http://pocasi.idnes.cz/

I had a feeling you were gonna say that!! Its probably like trying to predict the weather over here..nearly impossible!!
Ill check out that website you gave me anyway!
Thanks a lot!!

My first tip is to find the pubs and bars that is not big tourist attractions, it’s not difficult just keep of the bars in the old town square and the main tourist streets.
In fact often it’s just to walk a couple of blocks and you’re away from the most expensive places.
Be sure to visit the lesser town, on the other side of the Charles Bridge where the castle and the cathedral are.
Start your evening on night at joe`s bar and garaz in lesser town, then try lavka the bar that lies under the Charles bridge.
It’s also an alternative music disco/rock/pub called Roxy in the old town. Opens at 12.00 pm.
If you’re lucky there will be a typical European punk band playing and if so it’s of the hook. Whit people from all across Europe.
If you like beer you should also catch the train to pilsn and visit the brewery and the pilsner urquel beer hall and restaurant. They got the best beer in the world taped directly from the brewery itself.
For meals, keep away from the old town square and Staro Mesto, you will only get bad food and get ripped of.
Also stay away from Lakyzne litua, the disco besides Lavka, it’s only full of turned on Italian guys that will do anything to sexual harass you.
There are a clothing store called New Yorker in the bottom of the main Street called Muzeum, they have cool and excellent clothes for girls.
And if you want to know a little more about other places you can enter the site www.pragueexperience.com They will tell you where to eat and drink dance and so on. And what prices to expect. The also offer activities, but this can be a little expensive.
Have a grate trip and just enjoy the old part of the city.... that’s my last advice.

Hmm - I think Lavka is just the place to avoid - touristy and overpriced. Nice view from the terrace though.

The correct address for New Yorker is
New Yorker
Praha 110 00
Václavské námestí, Na Príkope 388/1

It`s the tarrace view that makes it worth the visit.
I agree it`s a little overpriced.
|||
If you want a classy bar with good views try Hergetova cihelna, on the other side of the river from Lavka almost next to Charles bridge.

Good choice KVKFAN ,I love it there.
