What is this statue?

My father is on a business trip in Prague and he just emailed me this photo of a statue he said he took outside the Military Hospital in that city. He%26#39;d like me to identify it and the story behind it, but I haven%26#39;t had any luck in searching the internet. Does anyone have any thoughts? :)

As far as I know the only military hospital is in Stresovice Prague 6 (Ustredni Vojenska Nemocnice), the hospital has a web page http://www.uvn.cz, but it is all in Czech. Had a quick look but could not find any reference to this statue.

But if your father is really interested why not email the Information department attaching the photo, they might help!E-mail: iva.ruskovska@uvn.cz

I live near Stresovice hospital and I found out, that the author of the statue is Slovak sculptor Peter Oriesek. He is now teacher on Czech Academy of Arts and you can google his name to find more about him and his work.

There is one statue to the victims of alcoholism somewhere - but I doubt very much whether this is it, and another of his called %26#39;Hřich a trest%26#39; (Sin and Punishment), which seems more likely, but what that might have to do with a military hospital I don%26#39;t know :)

It isn%26#39;t mentioned on this list anywhere web.quick.cz/qliska/pomniky.sochy.v.praze/ unless I am overlooking something
