Prague to Passau

Has anyone used a company to transfer from Prague to Passau? I%26#39;ve heard of discoverczech.com. Has anyone used them?

|||

Personally, I have never used them; prefer trains, but I know of somebody who used www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk/passau.htm when she missed a train....Post it also on the other side....

|||

thank you. That website looks perfect for us. Do you recommend train service from Prague to Passau?

|||

Here%26#39;s a sort of similar post if you feel like being adventurous :) tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g274688-i1988-k266…

It%26#39;s not an easy place to reach from Prague, largely due to the lack of major roads, no railway and also the considerable forested highlands in the way ...

|||

sounds too complicated for me. I think we%26#39;ll stick with prague-airport-transfer. I read someone had trouble with them accepting credit cards. So we%26#39;ll just bring cash for that.

any other advice?

GCEK is right; I guess the train schedules changed; it is now at least 6 hours 20 mins (for only 330 km?), fares from 48 Euros (on Deutschebahn). Changing trains, etc. Stick with a reputable co. Hopefully somebody else who used either of the 2 recently can advise..

I forgot this web - some useful info.

To GCEK - interesting link you gave....

|||

http://prague-airport-shuttle.com/ - you might consider this company for Passau transfer.

Here is another possible connection:

Student Agency coach to Regensburg 07.30-11.30 35€

Onwards with train 12.01-13.36 (one change) 20.50€

But its still 6 hours!

No, Passau is not an easy or quick way to get to, even by car it is probably close to 4 hours, but a lovely town worth visit.

I am guessing that you are going to get on a river cruise. Whomever you take, if you are planning to pay in a foreign currency be sure they give you the correct rate as some websites do not update their foreign currency prices and thus are a bit misleading. Be sure they take you via Freyung as it is a beautiful area.
