I am going to Prague in 3 weeks and I need to know how much I get for one dolar in the Banks or in exchange places after all the commission, Please help., my bank here give me 15 K. for one dolar including everything. I s this a good deal.? Thanks again

The exchange rate is around 17CZK to the USD, if I remember well, but at some places you%26#39;ll get quite a bit less than that.
As for your question. 15CZK is quite low, but not much lower than what I reckon you%26#39;ll get at the airport once you arrive. So if I was you, I%26#39;ll exchange a few Dollars just to have enough cash to be able to get to your hotel and maybe buy something to eat. Then you can choose a place to change in the centre.
One piece of advice. ALWAYS ask how much you%26#39;ll get before changing.

Thanks very much. I will follow your advice.

You should get a better rate of exchange using an ATM (bankomat) - even after any bank charges have been taken off it is better than changing %26#39;on the street%26#39;, unless you are exchanging a lot, in which case you are in a better position to bargain.

That actually will depend a lot on how much the bank will charge him for withdrawing overseas, which in some cases can be a lot of money. But it%26#39;s another possibility and rafran could ask the bank

ATM gives the best rate of exchange even if they charge fees %26amp; % commission. If you have several ATM%26#39; Cards pick the one that takes less than 3%
Also, tell the bank that you are travelling to Czech Rep; the worst nightmare (which happened to me in Summer ) is that the bank thinks the card was stolen etc. %26amp; does not give you the money. Since the dollar%26#39;s %26amp; banks%26#39; collapse, I use ATM only once during my stay %26amp; now carry again the travellers checks. Like in the Olden days... But it really works the best.
