Pubs (with food) near Ibis Old Town Hotel

Hi,

Can anybody recommend some traditional pubs, serving food close to the Ibis Old Town Hotel Please? Also looking for some local pubs/bars, within walking distance, to while away some hours with a few drinks.

you might have a look at Kolkovna V Celnici, about 5 minutes walk from your hotel, opposite Hilton, next to Marriott. And the beer is not overly expensive either.

Thanks for your replies. There are some good links there. This might be a silly question but will I know by looking at the outside, whether the establishmnent is a traditional Czeck pub/bar? There seem to be so many bars and I don%26#39;t particularly want to spend too much time in British/Irish bars. NOt that there%26#39;s anything wrong with them but %26#39;when in Rome....and al that%26#39;. I%26#39;m considering going armed with a list of traditional drinking/eating holes but maybe this is a bit extreme lol.

Hi. Iam just home from Prague and had a great time.

I would agree with KVKFAN the Kolkovna V Celninci is a nice place to have a beer and get some food, especially try the Goulash.

In between the Old town square and Wenceslas square there is a market on Havelska which i found a local bar that sold 0.5L of beer for 25Kc and a two course meal and a beer for 149Kc.

Just off Wenceslas Square, Bar Trilobit is on Palackeho, A nice wee cellar bar with cheap enough beer for the location.

U Vejvodu Pub, At the corner of Jilska and Vejvodova, its more like a beer hall. I didnt get food in this one but it did look rather nice.

and how was the game? Did you get a ticket?

Aye i got the ticket, i could have any number off tickets by the end of it. The game was a drab nil each draw played on a very very very cold night. It was probably the worst point of the trip. But i did like the ground.

:) have not checked the attendance figures, but mainly empty? Glad you liked the ground, and it was easy to get to.
