First I want to say thanks for the advice we were given before our trip. I%26#39;m hoping this trip report might be of use to other families travelling with young children.
We spent 4 nights in Prague in early October. The first comment I want to make is that out of all the countries/cities we%26#39;ve travelled in Europe so far, we found Prague to be the most kid friendly and accessible by far! We travelled with a 6.5yo, a 3yo, and a 6mo old baby.
We flew Jet2 out of Edinburgh, with no issues.
We arranged airport transfers with 3 carseats with www.prague-airport-transfers.co.uk and they were prompt and the journey was comfortable.
We stayed in the attic room of the U Tri Bubnu hotel which was well priced and comfortable. If everyone in your party is OK with stairs then this place is brilliant. It was nice and central, and they provided a cot.
Our best tips are to use the playgrounds at the End of Charles Bridge on Kampa Island, visit Petrin Hill, and other good playgrounds are located on Kids Island and next to Zofin.
Our 6yo walked around the city with no problems. We alternated between a push chair and baby back pack for our baby, and the 3yo also used the push chair. Our push chair was basic with small wheels but we didn%26#39;t have an issue with it.
We found interspersing our sightseeing with time at the parks meant that everyone was happy and content.
We saw:
The Old Square and astronomical clock
The Jewish Cemetary and Spanish Sinogogue
Charles Bridge
The Lennon Wall (oldest son loved this!)
The narrowest street in Prague
The Castle and St Vitas Cathedral
Petrin Hill (railway wasn%26#39;t working, which was a shame!)
We also wandered around the Little Quarter and the area around Old Town Square.
As we stayed centrally, the only time we used public tranport was to take a tram to the top of the castle, where we wandered around then walked back to our hotel.
I hope this helps others!

I just wanted to add, that after reading some stuff on the forum here I was expecting to have to deal with shonky resteraunt owners, pickpocketers, and rude service.
We found NONE of this at any time, and totally loved Prague. We found it such a family friendly destination that we would go back again, stay longer, and take in the zoo and other kid attractions.

|||

|||
Long day, try to enjoy it, that%26#39;s all you can do and at least during the day you can follow the scenery. Tomorrow at this time, you will be there!

Great review. I have been trawling the internet for days looking for suitable accommodation. I am travelling in December with my almost 3 year old daughter, my mum and sister so it is great to hear a positive review from a fellow mum. Was in Room 10 or 14 you stayed in - and you were happy with the accommodation ?
Great to hear Prague is so child friendly too.
I have emailied them for rates and availabilty and hope they have rooms.
Thank You
